Questions about this policy, or about personal information we hold, may be directed to zarzad@spk20.ca or to the mailing address above.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to www.spk20.ca and its Polish-language pages. It does not cover our Facebook or Instagram pages, which are governed by Meta’s own policies, or third-party sites we link to.

Information you give us directly

We do not operate a contact form. If you write to one of the addresses published on our Contact page — rentals@, events@, members@, or zarzad@spk20.ca — we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that information to answer you and, where relevant, to administer a hall rental, a course registration, a membership, or a volunteer inquiry.

If you subscribe to our mailing list, your email address and any name you supply are stored with our email service provider, Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.). Every message we send includes an unsubscribe link. You may also ask us to remove you at any time.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics and Google Site Kit

We use Google Site Kit, which connects this website to Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Google Analytics collects information about how visitors use the site — pages viewed, time on page, approximate geographic region, device and browser type, and the source that referred you here. It does this using cookies and similar identifiers. This information is collected and processed by Google LLC on our behalf and is used to understand which parts of the site are useful to our community and how people find us. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not use Google Analytics advertising or remarketing features.

Google’s explanation of how it handles data from sites that use its services is available at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Meta Pixel

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Pixel uses cookies, web beacons, and similar storage technologies to collect or receive information from this website. That information — including your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you visit here — is sent to Meta and may be combined with information Meta holds about you, including from your activity elsewhere on and off Meta’s services.

We use the Pixel to measure how effectively our posts and notices reach the community, and to show information about our events and hall rentals to relevant audiences on Facebook and Instagram.

Meta’s Privacy Policy is available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

Images and media

Images on this site are delivered through Jetpack’s content delivery network, operated by Automattic Inc., which means image requests are processed by Automattic’s servers. Automattic’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/

If you submit a photograph to us for publication — for example, for an article or an archival gallery — please remove embedded location data (EXIF GPS) first. Visitors can download images from a website and extract any location data they contain.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content such as videos, maps, or social media posts. Embedded content from another website behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly. Those sites may collect data about you, set their own cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content — including if you have an account and are logged in to that service.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent out, or trade personal information, and we do not share our membership or mailing lists with other organizations.

Information is shared with the service providers that operate parts of this website and our communications, and only for that purpose: Google (analytics and search performance), Meta (advertising measurement), Automattic (image delivery and site infrastructure), Mailchimp (email distribution), and our web hosting provider.

We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

Where your data is sent

Google, Meta, Automattic, and Mailchimp are United States companies, and information collected through their services is stored and processed outside Canada. Information held in another country is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and law enforcement agencies.

How long we keep your data

Correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with the matter it concerns and to maintain a record of our dealings with members, renters, and the public. Mailing list subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics property. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider for security purposes.
